The Legend Continues . . .
“Dream in light years, challenge miles, walk step by step.” It was this belief of hard work and perseverance which had motivated Mr. Ferdinand Siu to start a business from scratch in 1994, when he first moved to Canada. Adapting to a new country itself is a tough challenge, especially with a young family, who needed to overcome different barriers. The only way to do it, was to take one baby step at a time. Mr. and Mrs. Siu could only afford a tiny office when it all started. They got their hands on each and every aspect of the business, starting themselves off as sale representatives, warehouse workers, merchandisers and bookkeepers. Ferdinand’s previous experience as an export merchant for 25 years had proved to be a valuable asset in shaping how Siu and Sons operated in the early days. Mr. and Mrs. Siu treated every order seriously, no matter how big or how small they were. They believed in trust and relationships, so these ideas were well incorporated into the company’s core values. Despite the long working hours and the problems they faced every day, Mr. and Mrs. Siu had never thought about giving up. Day by day, this corporate direction and all the hard work are paying off. Customers keep returning because they feel we are trusted partners, just like a trusted family member. Today, the company operates a multifunctional facility of 35,000+ sqft with over 30 people from different cultural backgrounds, working in various time zones, serving customers all around the world! And the Siu’s legend continues . . .
